At Dolmen School of English, we provide quality English classes to all ages and levels. All our teachers are native speakers of English, qualified and experienced. Classes are given solely and completely in English with a strong emphasis on oral communication.
For children, we have groups of up to 8 students. The very smallest students, who are five years old, attend class for two hours a week.
All other children attend three hours of class per week, which can be in three one-hour classes or two one-and-a-half-hour classes.
All children’s classes take place between 4.30 and 8pm, from Monday to Friday.
Adult groups take place between 7.30pm and 9.30 pm, Monday to Thursday. Like those for children, groups are of 8 students maximum and have three hours of class per week. Each student, young or old, is level-tested before entering a group to ensure that he/she is placed correctly.
We also have Adult groups for exam preparation in the mornings, Monday to Thursday.
Individual classes take place both mornings and evenings. Morning students have the freedom to choose their timetable and number of hours of class per week. Class times are flexible and can be re-arranged to suit the student. Individual classes provide students with the opportunity to focus on specific requirements, for example Business English, English for Tourism, English for Medicine or Science, or simply Conversation Classes.
At Dolmen School of English we follow a 12 level course, taking our students right through from an initial introduction to an advanced knowledge, both oral and written. We offer an exam at the end of each academic course, providing each student with a certificate indicating the level which he or she has achieved.
We use a wide range of materials including grammar, reading comprehension, listening, writing activities, drama and role-play, games and film thus developing all of the learning skills. We aim to ensure that our students enjoy the learning process and our emphasis is on oral communication.
